Which Way Does Traffic Go in a Texas Roundabout?

The Texas handbook describes a modern roundabout as a one-way circular intersection where traffic flows counterclockwise around a center island. Yield signs control who enters, not traffic lights.

The steps are the same every time. Slow down as you approach and watch for any advisory speed sign. Yield to traffic already in the circle, enter when there is a safe gap, follow the loop counterclockwise, and signal right as you exit.

Multi-lane roundabouts add two rules. Use the advance lane sign to pick your entry lane before you get there, and don't change lanes once you are in the circle.
